We did it! Thank you everyone!

Constant heavy rain, soaked to the bone, cold and shivering, strong winds, treacherous road conditions, serious crashes (thankfully not involving us) resulting in numerous stoppages and diversions, the exhilaration and freedom of being able to ride on completely open roads for 100 miles, and the joy of riding down the Mall towards Buckingham Palace to collect our medals. That sums up our Ride London 2018 experience in a nutshell! In such challenging conditions it was the fantastic support from all who have donated to our fundraising page, and remembering who we were cycling in memory of, that kept us going. When we first took part in Ride London in 2015, Geoff was there to meet us at the end, and bought us an icecream, on a lovely sunny day, so it was a bittersweet feeling knowing that the end of the ride would be different this year. We hope he would be proud of our achievement! THANK YOU everyone for your support! Catherine & Paul x

8/7/18 Ride London is fast approaching! A big thank you to all of Geoff's friends at the Geoff Woodbridge Memorial Golf Day, and to members of Beaconsfield Artisan Golf Club who have donated in the last few days. We've made the most of the continued good weather by taking the bikes to Wales and taking in the breathtaking scenery of the Brecon Beacons. The undulating roads, and hill (or should that be mountain) climbs are like nothing we've ever experienced before. A great way to train. Bring on the 100....and keep the donations coming!! 29/5/18 Training is going well. As part of our preparation for Ride London, we completed the Evans Cycles Ride It Windsor Sportive in April, covering over 75 miles of lovely countryside around Berkshire, Buckinghamshire and Oxfordshire. Since then we've been on as many long rides as possible, dragging ourselves up the many steep climbs of the Chiltern Hills! Further fundraising will be taking place at a golf day, organised by Geoff's friends in early July. Please keep the donations coming..... Thank you, Catherine & Paul x
